MCA May Be Planning Pay Freeze: Universal City-based MCA Inc., the entertainment company that includes Universal Pictures and theme parks, reportedly plans to freeze the salaries of 300 mid-level and upper-level executives next year. The move comes amid an industrywide downturn in profits. MCA is a division of Japan’s Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.
