Arcadia : Building Ban Extended
The City Council has granted a second extension of a moratorium on construction on undeveloped hillsides.
The council unanimously agreed Tuesday to continue for one year the original 45-day moratorium adopted last December and extended for 10 1/2 months in February.
The new ban will provide time for the Planning Department to develop specific guidelines on hillside development.
The restricted area includes undeveloped land bounded on the south by Elkins Avenue and on the north, west and east by city boundaries.
