Greater Lakewood Community Hospice will hold its sixth annual Light Up a Life program by lighting a special holiday tree at 7 p.m. Friday in the J.C. Penney court at Lakewood Center Mall. The event will raise funds for services for terminally ill people and their families in several Southeast area cities. The tree will be lighted by one of the hospice patients, and the Lakewood High School student choir will sing seasonal songs.
For minimum donations of $10, bulbs will be lighted to honor or remember friends or loved ones. The tree will remain in place throughout the holiday season. For information about the event or to make donations, telephone the hospice office at (310) 633-0677.
