NYSE to Close Early on Christmas Eve: The New York Stock Exchange will close at 2 p.m. Eastern time, two hours early, Dec. 24. It is the second year in a row the nation’s biggest stock exchange will close early on Christmas Eve. It will be open its normal 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours on Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve.
