A Hunger Event

Re “An Entree to Three Worlds” (Nov. 23): It was disgusting to read about the spectacle of a lot of Hollywood fat cats getting into character and pretending to be hungry. Money may have been raised, but I will not concede that their hearts were in the right place--only that the paparazzi were well-placed.

It has been my privilege to contribute to various hunger relief organizations, but it would be a shame to know that even one dime went to finance another meaningless media event. Tom Wolfe could not have written it better.
