Election Reporting

In his article on Nov. 27, Ronald Brownstein states that “none of the six announced Democratic candidates have made a significant impression on the public.” I will be interested to hear what The Times plans for increasing its substantive reporting of what the candidates are saying, as opposed to articles about dirty jokes and polling results.
If newspapers and TV networks would do more substantive reporting, and less reporting on who is ahead in the polls, and less looking for gaffes from the candidates, the American voter would have a better chance to have informed opinions.
