COUNTYWIDE : College to End Schedule Mailings
- Share via
Because of budget cuts, Ventura College will not send its spring class schedule by bulk mail to county residents, saving the college about $12,000, officials announced.
Instead, the schedules will be available throughout the county at libraries, post offices, city halls and high schools. The schedules will also be available at the County Government Center and the college administration building.
“We need to watch our dollars,” said Raymond J. DiGuilio, acting vice president of administrative services. “This was a recommendation from our budget committee last spring.”
Previously, DiGuilio said, the college sent schedules to nearly 95,000 residents in Ventura, Ojai, Santa Paula, Camarillo, parts of Oxnard and surrounding areas.
