Toe-Basher Unfit: A man who attacked Michelangelo’s statue of David with a hammer was declared mentally unfit to stand trial in Florence, Italy, on Tuesday. Piero Cannata, who describes himself as a failed artist, broke a toe of the statue when he attacked it in September. The repaired statue is now behind a glass barrier.
