Santa Clarita will celebrate its fourth anniversary with two events this week.
The city will host an open house today at City Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. The city’s offices will be decorated with balloons, banners and streamers, and will feature exhibits explaining municipal programs. The event will be hosted by Mayor Jill Klajic, the council member whose one-year term as mayor began Tuesday.
On Sunday, the city will hold a four-mile run/walk, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall. The cost to participate in the race is $15 and includes a commemorative T-shirt.
Santa Clarita was incorporated Dec. 15, 1987.
