CBS Will Re-Buy Stock: Its board approved a share repurchase program for up to $50 million in company stock. In July, 1991, CBS said it would issue up to $50 million in common stock in connection with its purchase of Midwest Communications Inc., which owns WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. The $200-million purchase price included assumption of $150 million in Midwest debt and $50 million in CBS equity.
