Venice : Meeting on Apartment Plan
Plans to redevelop the 40-acre Lincoln Place apartment complex into mostly upscale condominiums will be discussed tonight at a meeting of the Venice Town Council.
Tenants have been fighting the redevelopment of what is the oldest and largest complex of affordable apartments on the Westside, saying they can buy and run the property themselves. The owner has offered to provide replacement housing on the property for senior citizens and other residents who would have trouble relocating. Tonight’s meeting will be held at 7:30 at 681 S. Venice Blvd.
