Hammer Hired: Rap star Hammer, who won five American Music Awards in this year’s balloting, will be the host of the 1992 presentation. The 19th annual awards show, produced by Dick Clark, will be a three-hour prime-time special on ABC on Jan. 27. Nominations will be announced Tuesday.
