Los Alamitos 8, Anaheim Esperanza 0--Los Alamitos ended Esperanza’s Southern Section-leading 27-game winning streak at Cerritos College.
It was the first football title in Los Alamitos’ 25-year history. The unseeded Griffins (12-2) scored the game’s only touchdown in the second quarter and stopped top-seeded Esperanza’s (13-1) potent running game.
