New Mexico guard Ike Williams, who set successive personal scoring records with 30- and 31-point performances in the past two weeks, was hospitalized after collapsing in an Albuquerque church, a spokesman said.
Williams, 20, a 6-foot-5 junior from Dallas, was diagnosed as having a viral illness that caused dehydration, sports information director Greg Remington said.
Williams fell over in church and cut his head, Remington said, and was held at University Hospital for observation.
