Police Map a Good Idea

I was glad to see the detailed map and story about Officer Mark Pryor in support of the story on community policing Dec. 10.
In our overwhelming metropolis, it is essential to have support for governmental efforts to provide manageable and accountable governmental services at the community level.
The solution to the challenges that face the vast Los Angeles community lies in creating and maintaining the individual accountability in each of our neighborhoods. This effort will work only if it is strongly supported by institutions including our newspapers.
