Cart Milestone: How is this for a milestone? The 100,000th vehicle made by Taylor-Dunn Manufacturing Co. in Anaheim will be officially put into service Friday for one of its most dedicated customers, Knott’s Berry Farm, which has been buying carts since the 1950s.
Taylor-Dunn has been producing gas- and electric-powered carts for 42 years. It started when Anaheim poultry producer R.D. Taylor developed an electric-powered cart to ease the feeding of chickens. The company today has sales of about $25 million a year.
