HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER ROUNDUP : San Fernando Routs Chatsworth to Remain Unbeaten

The San Fernando High boys’ soccer team blanked visiting Chatsworth, 5-0, in a Northwest Valley Conference match Thursday to stay undefeated.
Fabian Galvan and Hector Molina each scored two goals and Nacho Paz added a goal for the Tigers, who improved to 5-0-2 overall, 5-0-1 in conference play.
In other boys’ matches:
Oak Park 4, St. Bonaventure 0--Inake Lazcano scored two goals and Carlos Torres and Alex Eckert each scored one to lead visiting Oak Park (4-1-2, 2-0-1) in a Tri-Valley League match.
L.A. Baptist 3, Chadwick 2--Danny Harder scored the winning goal with 10 minutes left for host L.A. Baptist (2-1-3) in a nonleague match.
Calabasas 1, Carpinteria 0--Dan Rosenbloom scored the only goal with two minutes left in the first half and goalie Josh Hahn made it stand up as the Coyotes (8-2) won a nonleague match at Carpinteria. The Warriors fell to 2-4-1.
GIRLS
Crescenta Valley 3, Muir 0--Host Crescenta Valley, playing its sixth match in seven days, overcame fatigue to post a nonleague victory.
Kacey Rountree had a goal and an assist and Bethany Oxley added a goal and an assist for Crescenta Valley (9-1).
Harvard-Westlake 3, Hawthorne 0--Alyze Lowen scored all three of the Wolverines’ goals in a nonleague match at Hawthorne.
Goalie Cari Schwartz had six saves in notching her fourth shutout for Westlake (7-0-1).
Nordhoff 4, Santa Ynez 1--Charlee Bell scored four goals, three in the first half, as the Rangers (3-0-1) remained undefeated with a nonleague victory at Santa Ynez.
Nordhoff goaltender Tacy Franklin allowed her first goal of the season in the 35th minute.
By that time, Bell had three goals to give Nordhoff a big cushion.
Franklin’s string of scoreless minutes ended at 274.
Burroughs 4, Quartz Hill 0--Sonia Medina scored two goals and assisted on another to guide the host Indians (4-2-1) to a nonleague win.
Carrie Mackey and Lorrie McIntire also scored for Burroughs and goalie Sinead O’Rourke made eight saves in her first varsity shutout.
Quartz Hill fell to 2-3.
