BankAmerica Merger Hearing Set: A Federal Reserve Board hearing on BankAmerica Corp.’s pending acquisition of Security Pacific Corp. has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Fed’s Los Angeles Branch at 950 S. Grand Ave. The hearing is one of four to study how well the merged bank is expected to meet the needs of minority and low-income customers as required by the federal Community Reinvestment Act of 1977. The other hearings will be Jan. 15 in San Francisco and Phoenix, and Jan. 16 in Seattle.
