Performances and reproduction generally sound blunt and unintegrated, with overly exposed mechanics and a calculated sense at odds with the Viennese charm of the music. The duos with flute and violin are better served in other recordings, but the Serenade for violin, cello and guitar is a welcome addition to the recorded repertory.
