Nurses Deserve Care, Too

Re “Rachel Gunn, R.N” (Fox). This program’s portrayal of nurses and nursing is both injurious and demeaning to the profession. There are many legitimately funny, even hilarious, events that arise on a busy hospital floor.

Television producers, directors and writers need to spend time in an acute care hospital setting before attempting to use the hospital environment in a situation comedy. And where do these people find their technical consultants? Clearly, they are not from the nursing profession.
