FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Loyola Beats Alemany 21-14, Keeps Win Streak

Quarterback Clelio Boccato scored on a two-yard run with 8:59 left to preserve Loyola’s eight-game unbeaten streak in a Del Rey League game.

Boccato completed one of four passes for eight yards and rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

After a scoreless first quarter, Loyola scored three seconds into the second quarter on a two-yard run by fullback Fernando Chavez. The Indians evened the score with 58 seconds left in the half, when Marwin Willard capped a 12-play, 55-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run to tie the score at 7-7.

Loyola regained the lead 1:34 into the third quarter when Boccato ran 65 yards for a touchdown. The Indians went back in front 14-13 on quarterback Chris Tashima’s two-yard touchdown run with 1:28 left in the third quarter.
