The two major candidates seeking to represent San Diego’s coastal communities in the 78th Assembly district, Assemblywoman Dede Alpert and challenger Jeff Marston, are reportedly alike on major issues.
There is, however, an important issue on which they disagree. This year, Alpert opposed cutting school funding by $2.2 billion. Jeff Marston has gone on record as saying that he would have voted in favor of the reduction in school funding.
Education is my priority, and I’ll vote accordingly.
