Glendale Riddles Ventura in 63-13 Win

SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Ventura College football players must feel a lot like ducks in shooting galleries: Every weekend they come back around and let another team take a shot at them.

Before Saturday, six teams had taken aim and shot Ventura full of holes, beating the Pirates by a combined 214-72 count.

Saturday night, it was Glendale’s turn for a little target practice. And the Vaqueros didn’t miss often, scoring the first eight times they had the football to mow down host Ventura, 63-13, in a Western State Conference Northern Division game.
