Rio Mesa 28, Dos Pueblos 14--Junior Liufau had 117 yards in 14 carries and David Belger added 78 yards in 21 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Spartans at San Marcos High.

Defensive back Demetrius Henderson of Rio Mesa recovered a fumble at the Dos Pueblos 47 that led to Belger’s six-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Spartans a 7-0 lead.

Linebacker Scott Kato recovered another Charger fumble in the second quarter that led to quarterback Don DiDomizio’s 10-yard scoring run two plays later to give Rio Mesa (5-4, 4-2) a 14-0 halftime lead.
