Newlyweds Found Slain in Home

A newlywed couple were found fatally shot in their Vista home Tuesday in what homicide investigators suspect is a murder-suicide, a Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said.

Deputies discovered the bodies of Thompson Alo, 60, and his wife, Francine Tremblayalo, 41, in the master bedroom of their Salina Court home after a relative asked authorities to check on them, the spokeswoman said.

A woman living in Hawaii told police she was the victim’s sister and was unable to reach her for a weekly conversation, authorities said.

Investigators said a gun was found in the home as well as a note, apparently written by Alo, describing himself as despondent about the relationship. A spokesman for the county medical examiner’s office said the couple were married Oct. 9.
