Bush Visits Somalia
It is always rewarding to see someone set a goal and then achieve it. Therefore, seeing President Bush in Somalia this past week proved that if one works hard at a goal, it can be achieved.
For 12 years the Reagan/Bush administrations have been flooding the Third World countries with weapons that served their interests in the Cold War. They also cut off most of the U.S. aid for overseas birth control at the behest of the far right.
The obvious goal here was to set up a disastrous situation in Africa so that a heart-warming photo opportunity could be set up to bolster their image. Thankfully, enough Somalia children starved to death in time to allow Bush his moment of glory.
