CSUN Pitcher Raba Academically Ineligible

Cal State Northridge pitcher Eric Raba will miss the upcoming season because he is academically ineligible. Raba, a junior transfer, was 13-0 for Pierce last season.
Raba, a Camarillo High graduate, was not projected to start in the Matadors’ four-man rotation, although his loss leaves Northridge with eight pitchers.
The West Valley Little League has scheduled sign-ups for Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the league’s field complex at the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Louise Avenue in Encino.

The Mid-Valley Pony Baseball Assn. will hold registration and tryouts Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its fields at the intersection of Oxnard and Louise in Encino. A second tryout will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, at the same time. The league is open to youths ages 5 through 16.
