San Gabriel Girl Wins Poster Contest

Rachel Hernandez of Washington School in San Gabriel is one of 18 winners of the Inter Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect’s annual poster contest.
Hernandez received a $250 savings bond and a certificate of achievement at an awards reception at the Los Angeles Children’s Museum.
The winning posters will be exhibited at the Hall of Administration in Los Angeles, the State Capitol in Sacramento, and selected libraries throughout California.
The contest was open to third- through sixth-grade students. More than 2,312 entries were submitted.
