The Little Fugitive (AMC Sunday at 10 a.m., Monday at 7 a.m.) Morris Engel’s timeless 1953 low-budget classic about a little boy (Richie Andrusco) who heads for Coney Island, thinking he has accidentally killed his older brother.

Touch of Evil (A&E; Sunday at 1 p.m.) Orson Welles’ marvelously baroque 1958 thriller, with a seedy Venice standing in for a border town. Charlton Heston and Janet Leigh star, but there are cameos from everybody from Zsa Zsa Gabor to Marlene Dietrich.

The White Sheik (Bravo Monday at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at 1:30 a.m.) Federico Fellini’s first solo directing credit is a robust 1951 comedy in which a provincial bride (Giulietta Masina) endangers her honeymoon in Rome with her fantasies over a romantic comic-strip hero (Alberto Sordi, in a broad Valentino parody), in the title role.

Prospero’s Books (Cinemax Friday at 8 p.m.) If you don’t read Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” before watching this wildly surreal 1991 version by Peter Greenaway you may not have a clue as to what’s going on. Sparked, however, by a brilliant portrayal by John Gielgud as Prospero.
