FULLERTON — The Titan men’s basketball team has received an oral commitment from Jerome Washington, a 6-foot-6 forward from Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Neb.
Washington averaged 12 points and six rebounds for a team on which all five starters averaged in double figures.
“He’s more talented than anyone we’ve ever had in our program,” said Coach Kevin O’Connor, who guided Mid-Plains to a 20-11 record last winter. “He’s got some perimeter skills and he’s very athletic. He can shoot and jump. He’s got untapped potential.”
Washington, who also was recruited by Fresno State and Pepperdine, made 50% of his field goal attempts last season.
Fullerton already has received letters of intent from Darren Little, a 6-8 forward from Palomar Community College in San Marcos, and Davy Fordson, a 6-3 guard from Los Angeles Dorsey High.
