U.S. shooters took two silver and two bronze medals in rifle and pistol events at World Cup USA, an Olympic qualifying event at Chino.
Bulgarian Vessela Letcheva won her second consecutive women’s three-position small-bore rifle crown at World Cup USA with an aggregate 683.7 (583 plus 100.7).
Pam Stalzer of Sioux Falls, S.D., took the three-position silver with 682.8 (583 plus 99.8) points. Ann-Marie Pfiffner, from Dubuque, Iowa, won the women’s three-position bronze with an aggregate 681.7 points (582 plus 99.7). Olympic gold medalist Gracha Petikian of Armenia edged Bill Meek of Riverside to win the World Cup USA title in men’s free-rifle prone.
In rapid-fire pistol, Ed Esworthy of Walkersville, Md., scored 665 points for the bronze medal, his first in World Cup competition.
