VENTURA : Burglar Takes $3,100 From Restaurant Safe

Ventura police are investigating a burglary at a Bakers Square restaurant in which someone stole $3,100 from a safe.
According to police, the burglary occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 5:20 a.m. Thursday, when the first employee arrived to open the restaurant at 981 S. Victoria Ave. and discovered the loss.
The restaurant apparently was entered with a key or through an unlocked door, police said. Police have no suspects, and detectives on Thursday had not yet begun looking into the case, Sgt. Bob Anderson said.
