American Airlines Cutting Some San Jose Routes: American will stop flying between San Jose and Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle and Portland on July 15. American, which has been cutting back unprofitable flights, announced the flight reductions after newcomer Reno Air said it would begin jet service on the same routes. Reno Air passengers can participate in American’s frequent-flier program.
