L.A. Baptist 49, Maranatha 0--Quarterback Zack Hernandez threw touchdown passes of 46, 28 and 30 yards as the host Knights (6-0, 1-0) won their league opener. Hernandez, a senior, finished 15 of 22 for 294 yards.
Two of the touchdown passes were to Hernandez’s twin brother, Matt, who made four catches for 89 yards. Dana Berg scored the first three L.A. Baptist touchdowns and had seven receptions for 131 yards.
