Warner Bros. Plans German Studio, Theme Park: The entertainment firm said it would build a $200-million television and film studio complex and movie amusement park in Bottrop, a Ruhr valley city near Dusseldorf. The project will be the biggest film investment ever in Germany, and the park will be modeled on one Warner Bros. opened in Brisbane, Australia, in 1991, said Michael Reinert, a spokesman for the Time Warner Inc. division. The park will feature rides, shows and attractions based on such characters and films as Batman, Bugs Bunny and “Police Academy.”
