SilentRadio Inc., a Chatsworth maker of electronic moving-message displays, said it received a $1-million contract from AT & T to provide the displays for Los Angeles’ Metrolink train stations.
The displays will provide train schedules and other information for Metrolink passengers.
SilentRadio President Lew Solomon said the company anticipates that it will receive other contracts for similar installations in the Los Angeles area.
Part of the company’s strategy is to provide such “visual-communications systems” to transportation markets, Solomon said.
