Alleman, an All-Southern Section selection last season after helping the Aztecs win the Division II title, was concerned that he was one of only two returning starters entering this season. Then, after meeting the many talented replacements, he wondered whether the Aztecs would mesh as a team. They took a step in that direction last week by winning the Brea-Olinda tournament. Alleman had six goals and six assists in five games. “Now we’re starting to play more as one team, instead of four or five different club teams,” Alleman said.
