THOUSAND OAKS : Gunman Is Sought in Theater Robbery

Sheriff’s deputies in Thousand Oaks are searching for a man who robbed a movie theater at gunpoint and made off with a small amount of cash from the ticket booth.
The robbery occurred at the Melody Theater, 1792 Moorpark Road, about 8:25 p.m. Monday. A man dressed in black shorts, black T-shirt and black baseball cap walked up to the ticket booth, displayed a gun, took the cash, then ran toward the rear of the building.
No one was injured. Witnesses told deputies that the robber was about 20 years old, was 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed about 200 pounds.
