Gary Anglin, the Ventura College baseball coach the past 17 years, will resign at the end of the season, Athletic Director Jerry Dunlap said Wednesday.
Anglin, 42, will continue to teach physical education at the school and will be an assistant on the football team next season.
He was the Western State Conference baseball coach of the year in 1989 and 1992, when the Pirates went to the Southern California regional.
Chaminade High has scheduled an alumni baseball game April 2, and all former Chaminade players are eligible.
