A Venice resident early Tuesday shot and killed a man who had barged into his home screaming obscenities, police said.
Police said they received a complaint about a man shouting and banging on cars on Brooks Avenue near Ocean Front Walk. After the man broke through the front door of 44-year-old Tak Cho’s home yelling obscenities, Cho shot him in the chest with a large-caliber handgun, said Detective Cedric Wilder of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead by paramedics. Police said they confiscated Cho’s gun. A decision on whether charges will be filed against Cho will not be made until an investigation by the district attorney’s office is completed.
