With Magic Johnson sure to give the current crop of Lakers a much-needed dose of enthusiasm, hopefully we’ll finally be able to see their full talents. And now that the Magic’s back, I hope the disappearing act of Danny Manning will be only a brief illusion and he’ll soon reappear in L.A. wearing purple and gold.

Coach Magic Johnson? Having no coaching experience, does he consider himself another John Lucas? Being an intolerable perfectionist is not the quality of a head coach. Sure, he can motivate players, but can he design defenses and offenses? By the way, with the current player roster, what was wrong with Randy Pfund?
