BREA : Trustees Will Meet Half an Hour Earlier
- Share via
Beginning next month, the Brea Olinda Unified School District board will meet half an hour earlier.
The Feb. 6 board meeting, which will be the only meeting that month, will begin at 7 p.m.
District officials changed the starting time in hope of ending meetings earlier. Students--kindergartners through high school seniors--often attend the meetings to make presentations or to receive awards and have to wait until after 8 p.m. to leave.
Assistant Supt. Peter Boothroyd said the meetings’ late hours keep some students awake past their bedtimes.
