So The Times must think that die-hard Feiffer fans don’t have long memories--or scrapbooks? The Jan. 8 Feiffer (left) rung a bell. So I went into my personal archives and found the original, published in 1979 !
Seriously, Feiffer is one of the main reasons I take the Sunday Times. His material from that time still rings true today.

Jules Feiffer confirms that the cartoon did, indeed, first appear in 1979 . Through his editors at Universal Press Syndicate, he explains that he and his wife recently adopted a child, causing him to miss his usual deadline. This week’s Feiffer appears on Page 54.
