Baja Bound: A Newport Beach charter boat outfit will be emulating the cruise industry by going south to Mexico next winter.
In December, the 115-foot luxury yacht Rapture will depart from its home port of Newport Harbor to head to the Baja California port of Loreto for four months of charters in the Sea of Cortez. Families that spend $5,000 for a stateroom aboard Rapture will be able to fish, snorkel or water ski from one of the yacht’s 20-foot skiffs.
The $2.7-million yacht has a six-member crew from Orange County.
