Coroner Seeking Dead Woman’s Family

The Orange County coroner’s office is asking for help in locating relatives of a 43-year-old transient who was killed Tuesday while walking near a freeway exit.
Michelle Ruth Moely, who also used the last names of Engels and Maely, was fatally injured by a car about 3 a.m. as she walked along the Tustin Street off-ramp of the southbound Costa Mesa Freeway in the city of Orange.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities have been unable to locate any of her relatives. The driver of the car was not cited by the California Highway Patrol.
Moely, who appeared to be homeless, was 5 feet 6 and weighed 116 pounds. Anyone with information regarding Moely is asked to call the coroner’s office at (714) 647-7400.
