Plane Carrying Two Latin Oil Officials Crashes: A private jet carrying oil executives from Argentina and Chile crashed in the Andes. All seven people on board were killed, including the head of Argentina’s largest oil company. Jose Estenssoro, president of the Argentine company YPF, had been considered a possible candidate for Argentine economy minister. Juan Pedrals, general manager of the Chilean national oil company, Empresa Nacional de Petroleos was also killed in the crash.
