SANTA ANA : Mater Dei Names Murphy as Principal

Mater Dei High has named acting principal Patrick Murphy as principal for the coming school year.
Before becoming acting principal, Murphy was assistant principal for student affairs for four years at the private Catholic school. Previously, he spent six years in San Diego working as an administrator in private schools. During 17 years as an educator, he also has been a classroom teacher, athletic director and coach.
Murphy has a master’s degree from San Diego State University and a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University in Canada.
