World IN BRIEF : ARGENTINA : Ex-Nazi Officer to Be Extradited for Trial

A federal judge ordered that an 82-year-old former Nazi SS captain be extradited to Italy to face homicide and crimes against humanity charges. Erich Priebke was arrested after publicly admitting his involvement in the 1944 massacre of 335 Italian civilians near Rome. He says he drew up the list of people to be executed, and he admitted that he killed one prisoner himself. Priebke’s attorney, Pedro Bianchi, said he will appeal the extradition ruling.
