‘Swinger’ Story Typical of Media
* Recently, as a result of a feature article about a Bill Goodwin of Costa Mesa hosting lewd parties (“Costa Mesa to Investigate ‘Swinger’ Parties,” May 1), I have received numerous unwanted phone calls from across America.
This is especially interesting to me in that when I ran for the Saddleback Unified School Board last year I could hardly get my name mentioned by the press.
It seems that although the press ponders what is wrong with America, they give more credence to a sex-crazed, 71-year-old than to an honest, conservative family man who cares deeply about the direction of our public schools.
I guess this is why tolerance and graphic sex education are more important than the three Rs to the liberal media.
