Classic Car Show Comes to Balboa Blvd.

NEWPORT BEACH — Balboa Boulevard merchants invite residents and visitors to cruise to the Balboa Pier Classic Car Show today, the first event of its kind at the pier.
The show, featuring vintage cars dating back to the Model A and classic cruisers and muscle cars, kicks off the beach season in an area that merchants are trying to revitalize.
Free festivities begin at 10 a.m. More than 400 cars will be on display in 3-acre Peninsula Park. Other amusements will include musical entertainment, balloons, swimming, surfing, roller-blading, boat rides and kiddie rides.
